Impact:
Because our hosting company employs a multi-transit BGP network architecture, there should be no outage. However, our server may experience some routing instability for up to 30 seconds as BGP reconverges through one of their other upstream providers.
They are taking every precaution to ensure that there is no downtime experienced.
Maintenance Details:
In order to maintain the highest level of service, they will be performing an upgrade of the software code on their Edge Routers.
During the upgrade, all traffic will be consolidated from both Edge Routers to Edge Router #1. An upgrade on Edge Router #2 will only be performed after they have established that all traffic is properly originating from Edge Router #1. They will subsequently shift all traffic from Edge Router #1 to Edge Router #2 and perform the same upgrade on Edge Router #1.
