INXS

Many new members join the site and shortly thereafter ask how to get more daily game downloads, or state that they do not want to really participate or interact, but merely want games. They hate making posts and ask if they can donate or pay for more downloads or game packs.
In response to the many inquiries, one of our premiere members who happens to also be a VIP Coder has responded so elequently that I have made his response our Mission Statement. Well written and to the point about who we are, what we do and why we are here.

But that goes against what INXS and this site stand for. We dont want money for anything, we do this because its fun. INXS and INVISION ARCADE GAMES are here simply for the community and the fun of being part of one. Its understandable that alot of folks dont have time to be a part of many sites since you have your own site to run, But also realize that if this site accepted money for increased downloads, it would turn this site into nothing more than a "pay to download" site, which isnt what it is meant to be.
INXS and INVISION ARCADE GAMES have set this site in such a way as to balance it out.
Yea, we know, it would be much easier to take money and allow downloads, but that means not having a site with any meaningful content, and as forum webmasters, im sure you can see the dilemma.
I run my own site, and I code games, and I still find time to come over here and be a pain in INXS's @ss
Its all about community. I hope you all understand
On the other side of the coin, being a member here gets you game fixes, advice and other things that you wont find anywhere else. If you run an arcade, and that is one of the biggest points of your forum, then this forum here is your one stop shop, and its free...............where else do you get free stuff?
We dont claim to know everything, but you would be hard pressed to find a community like this one elsewhere on the net to help you with games, graphics, and the like.
This site gets loads of "one post wonders" who realize that you need to be a part of whats going on, and then they never come back. The unfortunate part of that is, I bet most sites have games that are broken and dont know what to do about it, but if they were members here, they would at least get some help.
Since Flash player 10 came out, I bet there are loads of games that stopped working on your sites, and you dont know what to do about it, but we do
Be active here at least a little, The benefits are great, we have some really kick @ss graphics guys and game coders who really know their $hi+. And having a diverse community means no question is "out of the ordinary", its like a big database of people
PS: the majority of the people who converted the games you have on your forum are active members here

I think I understand the point now. Maybe I'll try to be an active member, but however, the arcade is not the principal point of interest of my board.

I have to admit, this is the best Mission Statement I've read. Not only is it well written, it explains exactly what this site is all about. I love it and am thrilled to be a part of it.
Thank you Foxyone for bringing me here and thank you INXS for accepting my membership.

I love it here, and always have. I'm not quite sure how I stumbled across Invision Games in the first place but I'm glad I did. Everyone here is nice, helpful and prompt with support issues. I run my own site as well and have my hands in quite a few projects but find myself coming back here because its fun. I've met a lot of cool people here (not in person though) and I anticipate that I'll be here for quite some time. As MicroMonkey stated, it's not about the money...its about passion and fun!

There is no possible way I could've summed up my feelings better than Nintendo did.
In the short while I've been here I've "met" some amazing people and had a great time.
Makes me wish I was a coder so I could contribute more than I am now.
